I feel fortunate that a key part of my job is helping students learn strategy and entrepreneurship and helping them apply that knowledge to their careers. My classes emphasize student engagement, ensuring that students are not only absorbing information but actively participating and connecting with the material. Given the rapidly changing business landscape, I also place an increasingly important emphasis on the role of AI, preparing students for how AI tools are reshaping modern firms in key business areas. Further, an entrepreneurial mindset is developed in all of my courses. Finally, being a highly research active professor, I bring latest research into the classroom. Overall, I love teaching, find it invigorating, and at University of Arkansas I received a highly prestigious teaching award from the Sam M. Walton College of Business (photo on left with)!

I loved how the professor taught. I retained the material based upon his style of teaching, which is unusual because I often have to teach myself the material before exams.
*The pet project enabled me to explore a topic that I was particularly interested in and receive a grade on a personal project. I believe this is an awesome tool, especially in the capstone class, to take the skills we have learned throughout the entire program and apply them to the next step of our lives after graduation. I also feel the Tech Story project did a great job for preparing me for my next steps in my career. Dr. Kolomeitsev is also very attentive to student's individual needs and is happy to explain a topic one on one or ensure you are accommodated to get the most out of class you can. He was a collaborative professor and I greatly appreciated that style.
Application Aspect. This course really hit the spot on how companies operate in the real world scenario. Professor enabled an open and creative environment that was conducive for learning and applying our knowledge.
The projects that were assigned will be valuable for me going forward into my job search and future career.
All - the projects were particularly helpful to apply to our future goals. I enjoyed the Pet Project and the Tech Story. These were creative ways to further our learning and challenge us.
I liked that we had the chance to speak with peers during class, it helped break up the lecture. I liked the tech story because I can use it in the future. I also like that Dr. K fosters a classroom where students feel comfortable talking and sharing opinions.
The interactive learning environment, enhanced my learning on strategic decision making. Capsim simulation helped us to relate to real world challenges and then adapt and strategize to do things better and make better decisions. The Pet Project gave me an opportunity to identify an emerging opportunity and formulate a viable business plan. It instilled my confidence to pursue my entrepreneurial journey with clarity and purpose.
The capsim project and the pet project were exciting projects to work on and helped understand the material and what I would like to get out of the MBA program.
I enjoyed that it wasn't lecturing for the whole entire class time. Although we stayed in class all three hours, there was variety in class that didn't make it seem like three hours.
The projects that were assigned will be valuable for me going forward into my job search and future career.

I loved our round-table discussions about our business ideas and providing feedback to each other. I felt it was an environment that I felt safe in to express my personal business ideas, and it was really valuable to hear feedback. I also liked that it was more focused on "does this work" rather than trying to "Sell the idea." That was really helpful for me as a student.
*I think this was the most involved I have ever seen a class. At some points it frustrated me that I couldn't get any outside work done because you called on us 24/7, but now looking back I realize that I was so attentive all the time. It kind of forced us to pay attention. I also think that really helped in preparation for the test because everything on it, I had remember from class. Overall, I definitely learned a lot from this class and think the teaching style was the most impressive I have experienced
The class lectures where we spoke about the different ways that one can be an entrepreneur, and some creative aspects that people can add to their businesses, I also really liked the neurodiversity classes.
I found the in class discussions to be very valuable. It was a very open discussion that never felt pressured.
In this class, I felt very comfortable with my classmates as well as with Dr.Sergei, and I value that a lot. Everyone listened carefully and he always explained that feedback was not to make us feel bad or dumb it was simply to give us a few points where we could improve.
I feel like the way this class works, is perfect for me. There was never a time when I didn't understand an instruction. There is nothing I think needs improvement.
This course was very creatively focused which I liked because it allowed me to explore my business ideas, have a heavy focus on collaboration and feedback with my classmates, professor, and other people through the customer discovery interviews we had to do for our projects. I think that this course is valuable as a whole because it focuses on the huge problem of startup failure, but especially how our professor and course material did not "sugarcoat" the reality of entrepreneurship, which I think is something students need in addition to being provided the freedom to explore their ideas. I appreciated that the major work done in the class was focused around what students' wanted, our group and personal projects were based on our own ideas we're passionate about and being pushed to talk to others about our business ideas was extremely valuable.

The professor provided a lot of examples that helped me understand the concepts and strategies more.
*I found the more corporate approach to be very valuable. Treating this class like a business setting and not lecturing like a typical class helped with my professional development and readiness for post-grad. Dr. K incorporated educational content with useful real-world simulations and projects. He also got to know all the students and allowed us to get to each others which created an amazing environment that I did not get from other courses. Overall, it was a great class.
Discussion and exploration of business strategies, and the project and presentation that has us evaluate this for a specific company. I found that using real examples of strategies helped me connect the material from the textbook/slides to practical examples.
I valued the real-world discussions and application.
You actually have to come to this class to learn anything, it's not just information on a slide. There was a lot of discussion and actually required some thought, so this class felt like a good use of my time.
I honestly can not think of anything that would help improve the course. I think it was a great course and I learned a lot.
I liked the corporate discussion envrionment Dr. K created in the classroom. I felt I was still learning real-life applicaple strategy skills but also had the bonus of experiencing what the workplace might feel like. I enjoyed the group collaboration on short-term projects, and I particularly gained value from the Tech story assigment. I will continue to use and develop that into a portfolio as an artist. I also appreciated that this class was key-points based and didn't rely heavily on a textbook. I felt like I learned more from Dr. K's instruction on important topics than I would have reading a textbook.
The group work was valuable. It allowed us to collaborate and share ideas while getting to know our peers.
When we did get into the lecture discussions, I felt that we were able to have some meaningful and productive discussions about the practical application of strategy concepts, and I appreciated that the assignments were relatively manageable and flexible.
The teacher, the teacher is a really understandable guy and really supportive. When I first started learning we were thrown in a really collaborative environment and then shifted into a lecture-based style. This shift did affect my ability to focus, and I finally expressed that to the teacher, and he did the best he could to support and give feedback. He is why I enjoy the class as a whole, and has made this semester easier for me.
I thought it was cool that we were given real life examples to put the material into perspective.
The lectures were very valuable as I learned a lot. The simulation was also helpful in understanding business strategy, just overwhelming at the start.
I enjoyed this course and Dr. K was fantastic. Very supportive and willing to help.
